I called, godish and was told that I would get a $100 gift certificate after I called customer service but first we had to set up an account. Well, I didn't like that but I thought that was normal, so I continued. They asked me for my social security number and I thought it was weird but I gave it to him and then they asked me for my credit card number and I told them no, I was not going to give that to them. They said if I don't want to give them my credit card number, then I would be charged $100 . He then said, well, we already did your credit check and if you call back tomorrow, you would have to do another credit check and your score will go down. At that point I knew it was a scam and I am pissed. I am going to contact Consumer Affairs, the Attorney General's office, the County Sheriff's Office, City Police Department, the Better Business Bureau, the Chamber of Commerce, the City's Mayor's office, the fraud division of the Postmaster General, and the Commission Office of the FCC because they are taking advantage of people and I am mad! Now I'm upset that I gave him my social security number. What's going to happen now?

This is a con job and for them to be connected to dish is a mark on dish

I was to receive $150.00 from godish when changing to dish tv. instead after 5 calls to godish I got 5 different lip service telling me -we received your info and should be receiving your check in one wk.-and it takes 1to2 wks to get to you-and we don't seem to be able to locate your info so please resubmit all necessary info again to us- ect-ect-ect. the truth is these people have my life story and don't need anything they don't already have other than my DNA which if I had I would have sent them. Ive been able to get dish tv with the info I provided them why is that not enough to get my gift card rebate? I will wait one more wk. and let dish tv know I,m leaving them because of the scam run by their reps. godish

Having the same problem with $100.00. Say they sent it then they resent it. till no card this has been going on to long.

Gift card promotion

Their promise of a new customer receiving a $100.00 Visa Gift Card seem to be a total lie. I talked with several people at DISH network about redeeming the visa gift card and I received a total run around.

I was given several different numbers to call, but each one gave me another number to call and no one could or would help. I believe that this should be viewed a fraud and they should be prosecuted. Once you sign up for service, the visa card should be sent out after installation, with out having to make call after call. This creates more and more aggravation.

I believe that this will be my last cable or satellite deal. I have tried them all and they all seem to be somewhere between bad and worst.

I was a victim of the Equifax scandal and my ID was stolen. Someone keeps hacking my account and signing up for Dish with my name. I just received an email from GoDish saying my account is temporarily disconnected due to non payment. I DO NOT have an account with Dish as I cancelled earlier this year and went with Spectrum. I have called Dish numerous times to discuss the fraudulent situation and the best they will offer is to cancel emails coming to my email which does nothing other than no longer alert me that this person is again using my ID. Dish will not give me the address of where services are being provided to the person who stole my ID so I can't go to the police, nor will they cancel the account. And to top it all off, they don't have history of this ongoing issue on record, even though it has taken enormous amounts of my time each time when I contact them. What's worse ... each time I contact them they say they will put this in their records! Argh! Totally obtuse and I am one pissed off former consumer!

I called in for a special Dish was advertising for $49.00 dollars, only to learn that that package doesn't offer anything, so I was sold a different package at a much higher price but less service. Without paying more I had to give up two boxes and the hopper.

Wasn't pleased so I called back to see what could be done and was offered a different box which would give me the hopper but when the tech came out to install I was informed that the new box would only work on two TV's meaning even though I have 4 TV's only 2 would have cable. And my question was why would I take 2 setsoff and pay more money and then the salesman lied and said I agreed to it.

Customer service sucks. They do not give a *** about the customers once you get that contract

DISH - Great TV but Visa $100 Gift card offer is a scam

My experience is the same as others on here. GoDish blames its outside promotions company - they blame GoDish.

I had fabulous service from GoDish to set up the service and installation - no complaints all went smoothly and on time The Visa scam starts with downloading a form to mail back to Texas - everything else can be done on line so very shocked by this.

You just wait wait wait - contact by email phone the old merry-go-round circus I have not been charge by this company but just became one of the ever growing "lost boys" of Visa Gift Card offer from Dish Network /GoDish Don't expect a reward anytime soon .... Adrian Utica NY

Omg. I just started with dish.

And, these reviews sounds oh so familiar. I still have not received my $100 visa gift card. And, they also charged me $49.95 just to talk to them.

Maybe, we need to contact BBB. I WANT MINE!!!!

(1) what is my incentive to go with this promotion or is this even available for me? as in the past I your new promotions, deals, and incentives have not been offered to me and thousands of others because you already have us in your system. (2) what is my incentive to remain with dish if I am overlooked for this new upgrade? (3) loyal customer for over 15-20+yrs. w/$100.00 mo. payments. (4) You have lost two members of my family to your rival because of their dissatisfaction with company loyalty to existing customers. (5) with the numerous shutting down and rebooting on cloudless days and losing recorded programs, need I say more.

Misles, lied to by service rep, having problems with receiver

I signed up with the first time fee was not on the flyer but she stated I had to pay $49.00 fee. I told her I didn't have the money her and the supervisor dropped it to half price. She set me up told me my pay would be $114.92 and that as soon as the equipment get installed I can apply for my $100.00 gift card so I said that good. Then I asked about the hopper 3 she told me I can get it at anytime for 50.00.The installer came he hooked all my equipment he didn't have the device that allows you to get on the internet so his statement to me was that he will come back Sunday or Monday. I told him to come Monday we will be at Church Sunday. I called him several time the phone was going to voice mail I continue to call he finally answered said it would be about 1:00 o'clock He didn't come nor did he called. I called customer service they finally got him to come Tuesday. I was with direct TV and frustrated about the increase with my bill. These are the problems I'm having from July 15th to July 24th. I logged in to godish.com there is not a place on the wed site to apply. the service rep told me the Hopper 3 would be 50.00 at anytime. I called dish they told me it willed be 150.00 I was told that when I receive my bill I could go ahead and apply for my 100.00 gift card well I receive my bill said I had to pay 114.92 a month. I looked at my bill I haven't had service a month . My service was installed on July 15 I received my billed it shows that it due on the 30th half a month 114.92. I called to asked about my bill or what ever question you have they gonna always turn the conversation why they are the one that is right yet never resolving your issue. I realize now I made the worst decision but I'm not gonna live with it . do anybody know how long it take if you wanna changed your mind about not keeping this service or how much do you have to pay to break the contract. I feel like all the lies that was told about my service with dish is enough to break the contract especially when you've been tricked to sign up

GODISH.COM charges you 49.99 separately to sign up with them. They throw it in at end of convo, making it sound like something you have already gone over with during your conversation with the first person you talked to.

The amount was very similar to DISH activation fee soI didn't realize I was agreeing to pay them for...nothing. I called to complain and he very condescendingly read the agreement back to me that I okay'd, "Let's see if this sounds familiar to you ma'am". I thanked him for suckering me out of 50 bucks and he replied sarcastically "Oh YOU'RE welcome ma'am". UNBELIEVABLE!!

Why does DISH allow these vendors to scam us? Thinking about cancelling the install completely.

I also asked for a supervisor who wanted shut up and stop talking over me! Dish is supposed to be a reputable company I thought anyways!! I would also like a response

I signed up for the dish service in May of 2017. The representative offered me a $100 gift card and I called customer service and they told me they would call me back in 3 days which they did not. I'm on the phone now and so far I've been thru 4 different representatives. They keep telling me they have to check the voice recording from the day I set up the account. They still have not listened to the voice recording after a couple of weeks. They should not offer this if this a problem for them

I purchased service through GODISH with the agreement that i would receive a $100 rebate within 60 days. After completing the necessary paperwork, we are a little over 150 days with no rebate card.

I have contacted GoDish several times by phone. The latest response was that I would receive it in the mail in 3-4 weeks. Based on my prior calls, I will be shocked if they actually honor their commitment. I wouldn't recommend going through GODISH if your decision is based on the $100 giftcard.

After reading similar complaints on this website and complaintsboard.com, its clear that I'm not the only consumer to experience this exact same issue. Shame on me for not researching beforehand.
