Godish - Being charged a fraudulent charge for tv installation
I answered a flyer from Dish network, and was asked for my personal information, such as social security number, and credit card number. They then bombarded me with a very long spiel, that was spoken very fast. At one point, I asked a section to be repeated, and was aware of the representative being annoyed. Again, it was repeated very fast as if they didn't want me to "catch" anything they wanted to gloss over.
In a few days, I checked my bank charges on the phone, and was very surprised to hear a charge for $49.99 listed by a dot com company. I couldn't make out the name, so I went into the bank. The bank employee told me it was godish.com, and I said they were supposed to do the installation free. He said it was undoubtedly a third party charge.
I have never had any problem with Dish network in the past when I had their service in Clearlake, Ca. In fact, I was so pleased with their prices then, that I chose to seek out Dish network again. If this is truly a company that attaches themselves to a reputable company with fraudulent charges, they should be punished legally.
I will seek restitution, as I feel I was wrongfully charged; if I can do this without seeking counsel, I will do it. But there are too many people out there being bilked daily, and many are not in a position to afford losing ANY money at all!
Hopefully I will have satisfaction on this matter without further action.
Sincerely, Kathy Posten

recently while applying for a morgage I was informed that I owed dish in excess of $800.00 since 2010. I was informed that I had applied for there service.
and that I used a credit card to secure the transaction. They had my social security number, address all the necessary information.. I have never had a dish account, although the house was rented there were two male tenants that were employees of dish.
When they moved out they took the equipment with them, Dish is trying to get me to pay for the equipement. Talking to there representive is like talking to a brick wall they just keep reading the script over and
over
I used to work there, not fraud maybe the rep was being an *** but we were supposed to let you know when we answered the phone that we are not dish we are a retailer, as far as the 49.99 I used to hate to do the processing fee but that's how we make our commission, as far as everything that's read to you that's all disclosures given to us by Dish
I called Dish TV and explain to them exactly what Godish did and took $49.99 from my bank account without my authorization Dish TV reimbursed my money back. Hopefully this will help you.
